We have much to say

Ad2SF Goes to Sacramento

By Posted in - Event Recap & General News & Government Relations on June 5th, 2014 0 Comments
On Friday, May 23, Jeffrey Oropeza and I traveled to California’s beautiful state capital city of Sacramento on behalf of Ad 2 San Francisco to meet with legislative staffers of our Bay Area Assembly and Senate members, network with AAF’s Sacramento Ad Club, and tour the Capitol building. In meetings with staff representatives of Assemblymembers Phil Ting, Rob Bonta, and Kristin Olsen, and Senators Loni Hancock and Mark Leno, we discussed current legislative issues facing the advertising industry and established contacts for future outreach efforts on state-level legislation affecting the ad community. Julie Childs of Ogilvy and Samuel Hon of First Corporate Solutions met us for lunch downtown, and rounding out a day of networking and connecting across the building, we had a private tour of the Capitol complex from media consultant Brian Green of Senate President pro Tem Darrell Steinberg’s office.
As we begin the 2014-2015 year in the next few months, our outreach in political and government circles locally and nationwide will continue and we would love your thoughts as we set our government relations agenda for the upcoming year.
